Propylene glycol is primarily used in the production of polymers and as a heat exchange fluid. It is a colorless and nearly odorless liquid. Food grade propylene glycol is also used in various edible items.

Dipropylene glycol is a monomer most often used as a solvent in a wide variety of products. It has low toxicity and is colorless, nearly odorless liquid.

Tripropylene glycol is a colorless and nearly odorless liquid solvent. It is mainly used in the production of polyurethane foams. Tripropylene glycol is also used as a solvent in inks, varnishes, and paints.
